Your Website Isn't Getting Leads. Here's How to Find Out Why.

You have a website. It looks reasonable. And it produces almost nothing — a stray enquiry now and then, nothing you could plan around.

This is one of the most common conversations we have, and the cause is almost always one of three things. Working out which one is yours takes about twenty minutes and saves you from rebuilding something that didn't need rebuilding.

Jayshree Technosoft LLP has been building and fixing business websites since 2009.

The Three-Way Diagnosis

Before deciding anything, find out where you're losing people:

Problem 1: Nobody is arriving. If your traffic is minimal, your website isn't the problem — visibility is. Rebuilding a site nobody visits produces a nicer site nobody visits.

Problem 2: People arrive and leave immediately. They found you, glanced, and left within seconds. This usually means slow loading, poor mobile experience, or no clear answer to what you actually do.

Problem 3: People browse but don't contact you. They read several pages and left anyway. This is a trust, clarity, or contact-process problem.

Your analytics will tell you which of these you have. Most businesses guess, guess wrong, and spend money on the wrong fix.

If Nobody Is Arriving

Traffic comes from somewhere specific. If you have none, check the obvious in this order:

Are you even in Google's index? Search site:yourdomain.com. If almost nothing appears, your pages aren't indexed — a technical problem, and the most fundamental one possible.

Have you claimed your Google Business Profile? For local businesses this frequently produces more enquiries than the website itself, and it's free. Many businesses have never claimed it.

Do your pages target what people actually search? A page titled "Services" ranks for nothing. A page titled with the actual service and location competes for real searches.

Are you doing anything to be found at all? Search visibility takes months of content and technical work. If nothing has been done, nothing will happen — websites don't attract visitors by existing.

If People Leave Immediately

Test your speed honestly. Open your site on a mid-range Android phone on mobile data, not office WiFi. If it takes several seconds, visitors are leaving before it appears. Oversized images are usually the cause and the easiest thing to fix.

Check the mobile experience properly. Most of your visitors are on phones. Text too small, buttons too close together, forms painful to fill, horizontal scrolling — these are invisible on a desktop and fatal on a phone.

Can someone tell what you do in five seconds? Ask someone unfamiliar with your business to look at your homepage and tell you what the company does. Their answer is frequently not what you intended. Vague headlines about "innovative solutions" and "customer-centric approach" say nothing.

If People Browse But Don't Contact

This is the most fixable category, and the most common.

Is contacting you obvious and easy? Phone number visible without scrolling, tappable on mobile. WhatsApp button, because a large share of Indian enquiries come that way rather than through forms. Contact option on every page, not only the contact page.

Is your form too long? Every additional field reduces submissions. Name, phone, and a one-line requirement is enough. Ask the rest on the call.

Do you look real? Address, phone number, actual photos of your premises and team, real client names or reviews. Stock images of foreign models signal a business hiding something. This matters more in India than most markets — buyers check for legitimacy before enquiring.

Have you answered their doubts? Do you serve my area? How long will it take? What does it roughly cost? Each unanswered question is a reason to leave and compare.

Is there any indication of price? Counterintuitive, and effective. Giving a range produces fewer enquiries and better ones, because people who contact you already accept it. Hiding price entirely makes cautious buyers assume the worst.

The Part That Isn't the Website

Sometimes the site is working fine and the business isn't.

Enquiries arriving at an email nobody checks. Forms going to a former employee's address. WhatsApp messages seen the next afternoon. Phone unanswered during busy hours. Nobody following up with people who enquired and didn't buy immediately.

Test this yourself: submit an enquiry through your own website and time how long it takes anyone to respond. Businesses are regularly shocked by this, and it costs nothing to fix.

Repair or Rebuild?

Repair is usually enough when the structure is sound but the site is slow, the content is unclear, or contact options are buried. These fixes cost a fraction of a rebuild and carry far less risk.

Rebuild when the site genuinely doesn't work on phones, the technology is unsupported and insecure, you can't update anything yourself, or the structure can't support what you need.

The rebuild warning: if you do rebuild, every existing page address must redirect to its new location. Businesses lose years of accumulated search visibility overnight because nobody set up redirects — and it's entirely preventable.

The Order That Works

Check whether you're indexed and claim your Google Business Profile — both free. Fix speed and the mobile experience. Make what you do clear within five seconds. Make contacting you obvious everywhere. Answer the questions customers actually ask. Then test your own response time. Only after all that consider advertising or rebuilding.

Businesses that start with a rebuild or an ad budget while skipping the free foundation spend considerably more and get less.

How We Help

Jayshree Technosoft LLP works with businesses across Jaipur, Rajasthan, and India on exactly this — diagnosing where a website is losing people, fixing what's fixable, and rebuilding only where rebuilding is genuinely warranted.

We start with the diagnosis rather than a proposal, and a meaningful share of these conversations end with us recommending three specific fixes instead of a project. Those conversations have earned us more long-term clients than any pitch.

Want an honest assessment of why your website isn't producing enquiries? Get in touch — including for a "fix these three things instead of rebuilding" if that's the truth.
